Job DescriptionPresbyterian is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Educator for Hospice and Home Health to join our team. The nurse educator will serve as a consultant, researcher, instructional designer, evaluator, and clinical practice expert supporting the professional development needs of nursing staff across the organization. This role collaborates with interprofessional teams to enhance clinical practice and promote excellence in patient care. The RN Educator plays a key role in supporting the educational components of clinical initiatives within both Hospice and Home Health settings.
Key Responsibilities- Development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs to support staff competency and professional growth.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses and other clinical staff.
- Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support quality improvement and evidence‑based practice.
- Design and deliver orientation, continuing education, and skills training related to Hospice and Home Health care.
- Support organizational clinical initiatives and best practices across the PHS enterprise, including CDS and RDS facilities.
- Licensure &
Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before starting.
- Preferred:
Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, or education (e.g., CNE, NE‑BC, or equivalent). Additional emergency response certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC) may be required based on area of assignment. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required. - Preferred:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, Instructional Design, Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in nursing, preferably within Hospice or Home Health settings. Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice, adult education, and staff development.
