Description:

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a night shift in a Progressive Care Unit.
The facility operates a 55-bed unit with a focus on cardiovascular patients.
The nurse will handle a patient ratio of 1:4.
Weekend and floating requirements may apply based on facility needs.
The following skills are required:
- Post MI care
- Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery
- Sheath Removal
- IV insulin protocols
- Feeding tube care and management
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line care and management
- Phlebotomy
- PICC line management
- Heparin Protocols
- Management of Cardiac drips
- Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)
- Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
- Titration of Cardiac drips
- Management of Cerebrovascular Accidents (CVA)
- Chest tube management
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Oxygen administration
- Wound care and management
- Telemetry monitoring
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Post Cardiac Angiogram care
- Peripheral line care and management
- IV initiation and maintenance
- Isolation Precautions and PPE adherence
Interdisciplinary support is provided, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, with average daily census of 38 patients.
A collaborative approach with various support services is utilized in patient care.

This role offers the opportunity to engage in specialized cardiovascular nursing practices.
