Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LTAC/Med-Surg position in Albuquerque, NM, requiring vent/trach experience and AHA-issued ACLS and BLS certifications for a weekend day shift schedule.

Job Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting, Med-Surg unit,

• Patient population includes complex medical and telemetry cases requiring vent/trach management and central line care,

• Wound care experience is preferred,

• 13-week contract,

• Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM,

• Shifts are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (every weekend),

Job Requirements

• Active NM or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required (RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted),

• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date,

• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or Med-Surg experience required,

• Hands-on experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and central lines required,

• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,

• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver safe, patient-centered care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies,

• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in care planning and delegation,

• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education,

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate,

• Prior work at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed during the consideration process
