Position SummaryWe are seeking a full‑time Nurse Practitioner to work Thursday to Saturday shifts. The role involves providing routine care and management of complex chronic and acutely ill patients, collaborating with the supervising physician, and ensuring evidence‑based practice across all clinical areas.
Sign‑On Bonus$10,000 sign‑on bonus offered for a new full‑time nurse practitioner, subject to a two‑year minimum commitment under the employment assistance agreement.
ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Practitioner will:
- Perform patient care management, consultation, admission, history and physicals, treatment planning, diagnostic ordering, interpretation, and prescribing as appropriate.
- Provide therapeutic procedures, discharge summaries, and planning, ensuring timely and appropriate discharge.
- Assess patients for status changes and intervene as needed, including emergency measures.
- Promote evidence‑based guidelines, including sedation, thrombosis prophylaxis, central line and ventilator management.
- Oversee length of stay and discharge goals.
- Serve as a healthcare resource, leadership consultant, interdisciplinary consultant, case‑management consultant, and patient advocate.
- Unencumbered, current New Mexico RN and ARNP licensure.
- Completion of annual education requirements.
- Attendance at facility P T, Quality MEC as requested by CEO.
- Adherence to dress code; appearance neat and clean.
- Maintenance of patient confidentiality at all times.
- Punctuality and reporting to work on time.
- Identification badge worn while on duty.
- Professional representation of organization at all times.
- Compliance with all organizational policies and ethical business practices.
- Communication of mission, vision, and values.
- Strong administrative and leadership skills.
- Three to five years’ experience in patient care services and/or management desired but not required.
