Full‑Time Nurse Practitioner (Thursday‑Saturday shifts) at AMG Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque. Responsibilities include the routine care and management of patients with complex chronic and acutely ill conditions, providing treatment for current medical diagnoses, promoting wellness and preventing complications, conducting patient care management, consultation, admission, accurate history and physicals, developing and directing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing medications, preparing discharge summaries, ensuring appropriate discharge planning, and applying evidence‑based care guidelines including sedation management, thrombosis prophylaxis, central line management, ventilator management, and ventilator‑associated event prevention.

$10,000 Sign‑On Bonus or tuition reimbursement is offered under a 2‑year minimum commitment.
Responsibilities- Provides patient care management, consultation, admission, history and physical.
- Develops and directs treatment plans, orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribes medications, and writes discharge summaries.
- Ensures appropriate discharge planning and placement.
- Monitors patient status, institutes interventions, and performs emergency interventions when necessary.
- Promotes evidence‑based care guidelines and oversees patient length of stay and discharge goals.
- Serves as a health care resource, leadership consultant, interdisciplinary consultant, case management consultant, and patient advocate.
- Maintains current New Mexico RN and ARNP licensure.
- Completes annual education requirements.
- Attends facility pharmacy and therapeutics, quality, and medication error committees as requested by CEO.
- Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat and clean.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
- Wears identification while on duty.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Complies with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
- Communicates the mission and vision and models the values of the organization.
- Effectively and consistently communicates clinical and administrative directives to personnel and encourages teamwork.
- Three to five years of experience in patient care services and/or management desired but not required.
- Demonstrates leadership ability and applies sound administrative principles.
