Job Description
What you will be doing:- Execute strategic planning, lead mentoring/coaching, and identify department succession strategy.
- Oversight of two EDs at Lovelace Medical Center and Heart Hospital.
- Oversight of physician relationships and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing and nursing leadership in marketing, community outreach, and visibility.
- Develop and oversee quality initiatives, staffing and productivity guidelines, and customer service goals.
- Analyze and monitor compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards.
- Plan and organize orientation and in-service training for staff members and participate in guidance and educational programs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, standards, and programs that support unit/departments.
- Develop and submit budget strategies and capital budgets for the unit/departments.
- Use forecasted budget to guide expenditure decisions.
- Initiate activities to enhance revenues and support cost reduction and containment activities.
- Demonstrate empathy and intentionally work to put others at ease.
- Bachelor's in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. Effective 9/1/19, if applicant does not have a BSN, must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program with a scheduled date of completion.
- Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of five (or 3-5) years of clinical nursing experience, of which 3 (or
2) years must have been in a management capacity. - Master’s degree in nursing and/or related field preferred.
- Strongly prefer experience in emergency department.
- Certification in clinical specialty or nursing administration preferred.
