Summary
Serves as a consultant in the field of Palliative and Hospice Medicine, providing clinical oversight for both inpatient and outpatient patients. Offers expert symptom management and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patients and families, ensuring care aligns with patients’ goals.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with colleagues in the management of patients in outpatient settings.
- Provide care to patients with critical and life‑limiting illness, focused on achieving medical treatment concordant with their goals.
- Offer expert symptom management to help patients achieve maximal quality of life.
- Build effective relationships with referring physicians and care teams, improving collaboration centered on patient care.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team in both palliative and hospice settings to support patients and families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve the quality of care offered to patients.
- Nurse Practitioner:
Master’s degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, two (2) years of experience as a nurse practitioner, and AANC or AANP certification. - Physician Assistant:
Certified Physician Assistant, two (2) years of experience as a PA, and licensure by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners.
