Overview
Lovelace Medical Group is now hiring a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Schedule:
12-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Provide clinical care to patients in accordance with regulations, including obtaining patient histories, ordering labs and diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.
- Uphold excellent bedside manner and create a positive patient experience.
- Explain medical procedures and plans of care to patients.
- Responsible for inpatient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults.
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining, updating, and reviewing medical histories.
- Document patient care services in EPIC.
- Attend departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested.
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinate patient care.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license.
- Two (2) years of experience preferred with inpatient medicine and the ability to work independently with critical care patients.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred.
