Lovelace Medical Group is now hiring a Nocturnist FM Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Lovelace Westside Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Lovelace Medical Group is a multispecialty provider group serving the Albuquerque community.
Job Summary- Night shift – 12 hour shift working 7 on 7 off, 7pm to 7am.
- 3-5 admissions per shift plus consults, plus cross cover.
- Provide clinical care to patients in accordance to regulations including but not limited to obtaining patient history, ordering labs, diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.
- Uphold excellent bedside manners and ability to create a great patient experience.
- Explain medical procedures and plan of care to patients.
- Responsible for in-patient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults.
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical histories.
- Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records in EPIC.
- Attend departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested.
- Adhere and have knowledge of laws to internal medicine, including HIPAA.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinate care.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
- Current New Mexico NP/PA license or ability to obtain a NM License.
- Two (2) years of experience preferred with family medicine and the ability to work independently with critical care patients.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Certification desired, but not required.
