Emergency Department Nurse – Emergency
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts Weekend:
Travelers scheduled for weekends as needed.
Minimum Assignment Length: 10 weeks
Required:
2 years ED experience (1.5 years may be reviewed) Travel experience: strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered if 2+ years Level I experience Required
Certifications:
TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients, including those with trauma and critical conditions. Perform patient assessments, triage, and establish nursing diagnoses. Administer medications, including IV meds and vasopressors, and manage ventilated patients. Monitor and manage patients during procedural sedation and oversee dysrhythmia recognition and management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support services to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.
Orientation: ~24 hours Time Off:
Max 7 days preferred; no RTO during first 7 days or last day of contract. Vaccines:
Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine optional.
