Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 Hours/Week | Minimum 10-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients ranging from less than 23 weeks gestational age through full-term newborns in a mixed-acuity Level 4 NICU setting
- Manage and monitor patients requiring IV vasopressors, high frequency ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, and ventilator management
- Assess and care for patients with Respiratory Distress Syndrome and other complex neonatal diagnoses
- Float within scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and Mother-Baby Unit as needed to meet facility needs
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements of 12 shifts per contract period
- Active RN license (pending licensure may be considered at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
- Current BCLS certification (RQI certifications not accepted)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (non-local driver's license required on file)
- Experience floating to Pediatric ICU or similar high-acuity pediatric settings
- Proficiency with Cerner charting platform
- Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers also considered
- Work within a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital environment offering exposure to a broad range of complex neonatal and pediatric cases
- No on-call requirements and no parking fees, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week throughout the assignment
