Job TitleRegistered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department, with a significant portion of the patient population consisting of admitted and ED holding patients
- Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights
- Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 in the Emergency Department setting
- Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional floating to Pediatric ED, ED Holding, and Trauma as applicable and within scope
- Work weekends as scheduled, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
- Active RN license or pending licensure in New Mexico (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience (1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications — TNCC must be obtained prior to submission; NIH may pend until compliance document due date
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- RQI certifications are not accepted in place of required certifications
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered
- Level I Trauma center experience preferred
- Experience managing admitted and ED holding patients in a high-acuity environment
- Work at a Level I Trauma, Children's, and Teaching Hospital with 554 staffed beds, offering a dynamic and high-acuity clinical environment
- No on-call requirements and no parking fees, with guaranteed contracted hours and a structured 13-week assignment
