Summary:
Presbyterian is seeking a skilled and compassionate cardiac nurse to join the clinical education department. The RN Clinical Educator – Heart & Vascular Care is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical education and professional development programs for nurses and clinical staff across heart and vascular service lines. This role supports safe, high-quality, evidence-based cardiovascular and vascular care through competency-based education, onboarding support, and continuous learning initiatives.
The Clinical Educator collaborates closely with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and best practices.
This position will serve as educator, consultant, researcher, instructional and evaluation designer, clinical practice expert, and interprofessional collaborator supporting the clinical development needs of staff throughout the PHS enterprise.

Responsibilities:
Clinical Education & Training Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs for Heart & Vascular staff, including Cardiology, Cath Lab, EP, CVICU, and Vascular Services.
Support onboarding, orientation, and transition-to-practice programs for new hires, internal transfers, and novice specialty nurses.
Provide ongoing education related to disease processes, procedures, technologies, and evidence-based practice.
Serve as a clinical subject matter expert for cardiovascular and vascular nursing practice.
Competency Management Coordinate and conduct initial and ongoing competency validation and skills assessment.
Identify learning needs through observation, quality data, staff feedback, and performance metrics.
Develop remediation plans and targeted education for individuals or teams as needed.
Quality, Safety & Regulatory Support Collaborate with leadership and quality teams to support patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Support readiness for accreditation and regulatory surveys (e.g., Joint Commission).Assist with implementation of new equipment, procedures, workflows, and clinical practice changes.
Professional Development & Mentorship Serve as a mentor, coach, and professional resource for nursing and clinical staff.
Promote professional growth, specialty certification, and lifelong learning.
Participate in shared governance councils, committees, and service line initiatives as appropriate.
Program Evaluation & Documentation Evaluate education effectiveness using outcomes data, competency results, and participant feedback.
Maintain accurate documentation of education, competencies, and training compliance.
Utilize data to continuously improve education strategies and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact, as applicable).Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of recent clinical experience in Heart & Vascular or Cardiovascular nursing preferred.
Demonstrated experience in staff education, precepting, or clinical mentoring.
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular disease processes, procedures, and nursing practice.
Specialty
Certifications:
Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, education or equivalent certification preferred. BLS required.
Experience required:
Minimum At least 3 years of clinical care expertise required in clinical specialty
