Overview
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner position with sign‑on and relocation bonus. New Grad NNP welcome. The role supports care across NICUs in multiple locations within our Medical Group, providing compassionate and evidence‑based care for newborns and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to newborns in the NICU, including diagnosing and treating illnesses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate care plans for each patient.
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilization procedures as needed.
- Coordinate parental education and counseling to support families’ understanding of the newborn’s condition and care plan.
- Participate in research activities and contribute to evidence‑based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of current trends in neonatal care through continuing education and professional development.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and safety.
- Attend deliveries and manage day‑to‑day NICU and newborn nursery patients as part of the team.
Staffing model:
Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners share the work at each facility, with 12 or 24‑hour shifts for NNPs and flexible, self‑scheduling.
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in the practicing state.
- Relevant experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or equivalent in a neonatal setting.
- Excellent clinical skills with ability to make decisions in high‑stress environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with neonatal care advancements.
