Lovelace Medical Group is now hiring a Nocturnist Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Lovelace Westside Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary
  • Night shift: 12-hour shift, 7 on 7 off, 7pm to 7am.
  • 3-5 admissions per shift plus consults and cross cover.
  • Provide clinical care to patients in accordance with regulations, including obtaining patient history, ordering labs, diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.
  • Uphold excellent bedside manners and create a great patient experience.
  • Explain medical procedures and plan of care to patients.
  • Responsible for in‑patient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and studying medical histories.
  • Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records in EPIC.
  • Attend departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested.
  • Adhere to and have knowledge of laws related to internal medicine, including HIPAA.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinate care.
  • Epic EMR usage required.
Position Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current New Mexico NP/PA license or ability to obtain a NM license.
  • Two (2) years of experience preferred with inpatient medicine and the ability to work independently with critical care patients.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification desired, but not required.
  • Family Nurse Practitioners and new graduates will also be considered.
