Nurse Practice Educator-LPN

Overview

Shift: Mon‑Fri, occasional weekends and evenings required to cover all shifts.

Hours:

8 am‑4:30 pm. The Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque, a division of Genesis Healthcare, is hiring a Nurse Practice Educator to improve the quality of nursing care through education, consultation, and program development.

• Nurse Orientation
• Nurse Education
• Competencies Evaluation and Maintenance (except for RNs)
• Infection Control (including Employee Health)
• Clinical PCC implementation
• Identify nursing staff learning needs and implement programs to address and evaluate their effectiveness
• Provide safety training for all employees and department‑specific orientation for nursing staff
• Oversee the nursing orientation and mentoring program for all licensed nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants
• Develop an annual nursing education calendar including State/Federal mandatory in‑services
• Assist in evaluating performance of new nursing personnel and perform annual competency testing and evaluation of all nursing staff
• Oversee the nursing center’s Infection Control and Employee Health programs

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure by the State Board of Nursing
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts

• Posted Salary Range: USD $32.00 – USD $45.00 per hour
• Bonus: USD $5,000.00
