Wound Care Nurse; RN

Job Summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a full‑time Wound Care Nurse (RN) who evaluates new and existing in/out patients’ wounds and monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures. The role provides direct and indirect patient care in the long‑term acute care setting, communicates with physicians, chief medical officers, and co‑workers about changes in patients’ clinical condition, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in patients’ condition or response to treatment.

The nurse will also perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Evaluate and treat the wounds of in‑patient and out‑patient clients according to established policies and procedures. Provide direct and indirect nursing care in a long‑term acute care setting. Communicate effectively with physicians, chief medical officers, and other staff regarding patients’ clinical status, diagnostic results, and symptomatology. Respond promptly to changes in patients’ conditions or treatment responses. Perform general nursing duties across departments as needed under supervision.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid Registered Nurse licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Current Wound Care certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
