Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in the OR running a robotics program in a surgical environment with high (600+) surgical case load. We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Nursing to provide strategic leadership for our high-performing Operating Room team. This is a unique opportunity to steward New Mexico's only accredited robotics program and oversee a complex surgical service line with a volume of over 600 cases per month.

As the Director, you will be responsible for the 24/7 operational, financial, and clinical excellence of the OR, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, quality care, and team engagement. You will serve as a key change agent, building strong collaborative relationships with physicians, staff, and system leadership to advance our mission.

Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the OR, GI lab, PACU, Pre-op, and Pre-admission Testing Clinic. Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Monitor and evaluate quality, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. Develop and implement robust strategies for continuous improvement and adherence to accreditation standards.

Assume responsibility for the administrative and financial performance of assigned departments, including budget development, resource allocation, and cost control.

Provide dedicated leadership and support for the growth and excellence of our three-da Vinci XI robotics program, including supporting master surgeons who proctor nationally.

Actively mentor and develop a team of approximately 100 clinical and support staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, accountability, and high engagement.

Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with surgeons and physicians to optimize scheduling, efficiency, and the overall surgical experience.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Current, unencumbered New Mexico RN license or multistate compact license. BLS certification (must be obtained within 14 days of hire). Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an Operating Room setting. Proven experience managing a high-volume surgical environment (600+ cases per month). Direct experience with a robotics surgery program. Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking skills, and decisive judgment.

Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and lead through influence.

Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Experience in a women's health or specialty surgical hospital.
