Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) with options of 36 or 48 hours per week.

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for our Night Shift. The successful candidate will have experience in labor and delivery care, working with high-risk patients, and a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide care during vaginal births and C-sections.
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring to assess fetal heart rates and manage maternal health during labor.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and maintain central lines, including CVC and PICC lines.
• Provide triage for obstetrical patients and ensure adherence to isolation precautions.
• Facilitate postpartum care and recovery for new mothers post-cesarean section.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted).
• Charge experience preferred.
• Experience with a charting system, specifically Community Hospital.
• Ability to float to like units as needed based on facility demands.
