ICU Nurse
ICU RN – Intensive Care Unit
Schedule:
- Shift: Nights
- Shift options: 36 or 48 hours
- Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per scheduling period
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in an intensive care unit
- Current NM or compact RN license (must be active prior to start) - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Key clinical skills:
- Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, suctioning
- Titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips, continuous IV sedation
- Arterial line, central line, PICC care/management; ABG interpretation
- Blood product administration, IV starts/maintenance
- Neuro support: EVD/ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery care
- Management of multisystem organ dysfunction, renal failure, dysrhythmias, procedural sedation
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and laboratory results
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment options
Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 24 hours; onsite modules (RN average 4–6 hours) - Local candidates within a 50-mile radius not accepted
