Registered Nurse

This position functions in a cardiac stepdown unit with a significant cardiac patient population. The facility includes 55 beds in the unit. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 38 patients. There is a requirement for floating to like units based on facility needs. Nurses will receive brief orientation on the unit. Weekend shifts will be required as needed and are rotating.

The staff consists of various interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy and pharmacy. Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring. Responsibilities include central line care, IV management, and post-cardiac procedures. Travelers must be prepared for compliance delays that could affect start dates.
