RN - Inpatient Supervisor

Role Overview:

This position is a full-time Registered Nurse providing clinical leadership and direct patient care in a surgical department. Responsibilities include supervising staff, assigning duties based on patient needs and staff qualifications, and ensuring adherence to policies. The role involves supporting nursing initiatives such as quality improvement, patient safety, and compliance, while acting as a liaison among healthcare teams. Responsibilities also encompass delegating tasks, participating in orientation and training, handling emergency procedures, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical records.

The nurse will foster a safe, therapeutic environment, promote professional development, and ensure individualized care plans are implemented effectively.

Requires graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program with at least 2 years of related experience. Must hold an active RN license in NM or reciprocal jurisdiction, and CPR certification within 30 days. Preferred qualifications include bilingual abilities and specialty certifications. Physical demands include heavy work involving lifting up to 100 pounds, with safety protocols for hazardous materials. The role demands strong leadership, communication, clinical judgment, and adherence to safety and policy standards.
