Registered Nurse - PCU Nights
Location:
New Mexico
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (18:30 - 07:00).
Job Description:
The PCU (Progressive Care Unit) is a cardiac stepdown unit focused on providing high-quality care to a significant cardiac patient population. Nurses will manage patients with various cardiovascular conditions and ensure comprehensive care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in a cardiac stepdown unit.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes.
- Assist in the management of patient care plans.
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Manage various cardiac-related procedures and interventions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred, with at least 1 year considered.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- Cardiovascular experience is mandatory.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
