American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I trauma experience, circulating experience, and a NM or compact RN license.

• Operating Room unit within a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital providing short-term acute care
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• Required to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD)
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts per month
• On-call required for day shift, consisting of 24-36 hours per month
• No floating required outside of scope
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Purple scrubs provided

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) currently in hand or pending accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• No RQI certifications accepted

• Circulate OR cases across specialties including general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurology, and trauma cases
• Assist with emergency management protocols including code response and malignant hyperthermia readiness
• No fee parking available onsite
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
• No local candidates accepted within a 100-mile radius
• COVID vaccine is optional; facility requires reporting of vaccination status or declination
• 6-month system break required after 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments, whichever comes first
