Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Cardiac Stepdown Nurse

Provide comprehensive nursing care in a cardiac stepdown unit, focusing on cardiovascular patients. Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver quality care during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize care based on clinical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac and vital signs, recognizing and responding to abnormal findings.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
• Maintain adherence to safety protocols, including BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of cardiovascular or stepdown nursing experience; 2 years preferred.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI certifications; additional relevant certifications are a plus.
• Capable of working night shifts (4×12 hours) and floating within scope as needed.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
