Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

PCU – Cardiac Stepdown

Shift: Nights

Requirements:

• Active nursing license in the state or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required; CPI preferred
• 1+ years of cardiovascular/stepdown experience required; 2 years preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically Epic

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and provide care for cardiac and vascular patients.
• Manage post-cardiac catheterization, post-myocardial infarction care, and heart failure patients.
• Recognize cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias.
• Administer cardiac drips (non-titration) and adhere to heparin and intravenous insulin protocols.
• Provide respiratory support, including BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway support.
• Perform wound care, isolation precautions, and manage vascular access.

Compliance / Notes:

• All requested time off must be listed at submittal; maximum of 4 days RTO can be auto-approved.
• Orientation modules to be completed onsite.
