Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care in an ER Holding unit with MS level of care. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and efficient throughput during night shifts, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions to prioritize care needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient management.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, following safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations within scope of practice.
• Maintain compliance with travel and hospital policies, including timely labs and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license, and valid compact or NM license prior to start.
• Possess 1+ years of ER experience preferred; 2 years preferred.
• Be able to work 12-hour night shifts with flexibility for floating to similar units as needed.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Complete NIHSS certification and pass travel compliance requirements.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
