American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a night shift position requiring Level I trauma and circulating experience at a Level I trauma teaching hospital.

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital providing short-term acute care
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts per month
• On-call requirement of 24-36 hours per month during day shift
• No floating required outside of scope
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Must work 2 of the following 3 holiday bundles:
  Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, or New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
• Uses Cerner charting system

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required, pending license accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• RQI certifications not accepted

• Purple scrubs provided
• No parking fee
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• COVID vaccine is optional, but candidates must upload vaccination series or a declination due to facility reporting requirements
• Candidates must not reside within 100 miles of the facility and must have a non-local driver's license on file
• Requests for RTO greater than 7 days require approval
• No RTO permitted during the first 7 days or last day of the contract
• A 6-month system break is required for travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark, whichever comes first
• Former staff must have a 12-month separation before returning
