American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring NM or compact RN license and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

• General Emergency Department serving combined Adult/Pediatric population
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:30-7:00) with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Requires at least 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Epic charting system preferred
• Floating to like units within scope required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• 2 years of ED experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Center, teaching hospital, community hospital, or LTAC setting preferred
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience interpreting ABGs and dysrhythmias, and administering continuous IV sedation and vasopressors
• Experience in triage and isolation precautions/PPE

• Provide emergency care across a range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, pediatric, and orthopedic cases
• Facility is STEMI and Stroke certified
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• Up to 3-4 days of RTO may be auto-approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Traveler expected to complete labs within 48 business hours of contract signing
• Onsite orientation includes completion of required training modules
