Per Diem Registered Nurse III

The role involves providing direct nursing care within various clinical specialties, such as PCU, ICU, or ED, independently of patient location.

Responsibilities include delivering safe patient care, collaborating on and implementing individualized care plans, assisting with tests and procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.

The nurse participates in orientation, precepts new staff, and responds to emergency situations. They administer medications, including IVs, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Professional development through ongoing education, literature, and workshops is encouraged, along with adherence to patient safety policies.

Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing program, at least one year of relevant experience, and current RN licensure. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required. Bilingual skills and additional certifications are advantageous.

Physical demands involve exerting significant force, with work conditions requiring PPE due to exposure to biohazards and chemicals. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality care, and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
