Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Albuquerque, NM | Acute Care

Contract | Onsite | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 13:00–01:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a significant proportion of admitted and ED holding patients
• Administer medications including IV medications following the seven medication rights; document and communicate clinical findings accurately
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and manage acuity levels consistent with a Level I Trauma environment
• Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional floating to Pediatric ED; potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
• Participate in weekend scheduling as needed; weekend nights include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles:
  Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

• Active RN license (New Mexico license may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required; 1.5 years may be considered
• TNCC certification required prior to submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC; NIH may pend until compliance document due date
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Charting experience with Cerner preferred
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• 48-hour contract option available to travelers with both Level I and travel experience

• Work at a Level I Trauma, Children's, and Teaching Hospital with 554 staffed beds — a high-acuity environment offering significant professional growth
• No on-call requirement and no parking fees at the facility
