ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC in hand at time of submission) Must-Have:
- COVID-19 vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of the COVID exemption form signed by a provider for medical purposes) - Ability to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day) - Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule period, with the possibility of more based on department needs - Experience in a Level II or III Trauma Center
Description:
The role requires a dedicated and skilled nurse in the Emergency Department. Candidates must be comfortable handling various patient demographics. Work will involve blood product administration and starting IVs. Experience with tele neuro and tele psych is required. The facility operates as a full-service Emergency Department. Pediatric, OB, and cath lab patients are not included. Staffing ratios are maintained at 1:4 for patient care.
Interdisciplinary support is available through various services. Additional unit competencies include handling trauma cases and emergencies. Candidates should possess experience with arterial line management and care for ventilated patients. The position may require care management for patients undergoing procedures or requiring sedation. Compliance with health regulations and facility practices is mandatory. Travel experience is required for applicants. A strong understanding and past experience in emergency settings are essential for success in this role.
