American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring ACLS/BLS certification and prior progressive ICU experience.

• Work in the ICU/Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), with 36 or 48 hour options
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating required to like units within scope, based on facility needs
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CPI, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of progressive ICU experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• LTAC and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial and central line management, and blood product administration
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
• Skilled in CRRT/CVVHD and management of acute/chronic renal failure
• Skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips and continuous IV sedation
• Skilled in cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery/Swan Ganz monitoring and TAVR preferred
• Experience with Nex Gen CRRT preferred

• Care for critically ill ICU patients including those requiring multisystem organ support
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and stroke/CVA management as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this assignment
