American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a Level I trauma teaching hospital requiring trauma and telemetry experience along with pre/post cath lab and IR procedure skills.

• Inpatient PACU unit within a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Float requirement to PACU Holding area with ratios of 1:3-5, equivalent to inpatient PCU assignments
• On-call requirement of 1-2 overnight call shifts monthly on a 4-week schedule
• Weekend requirement of one per month
• Uses Cerner charting system
• 36-48 hour contracts available

• Active RN license (NM state or compact) required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required (Level II trauma experience not accepted)
• Telemetry experience required
• Pre/Post Cath Lab procedure experience required
• Pre/Post IR procedure experience required
• Willingness to perform pre-op care required
• Respiratory skills including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management required
• Pending license accepted
• RQI certifications not accepted

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to inpatient surgical patients
• Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles:
  Thanksgiving/day after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, or New Year's Eve/Day
• Black scrub color required
• No candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility will be accepted
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
• First-time travelers considered upon client screening
• Limited to no pediatric experience will be considered
• Previous charge experience preferred
