Veterinary Assistant - Surgery

VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital & Referral Center of New Mexico in Albuquerque is adding to our Specialty Surgery Team.

Location: 8850 Holly Ave NE, Suite K, Albuquerque, NM 87122

Schedule: 4 days, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday 8 am - 6 pm

Salary: $18 - $26 per hour

The team supporting our surgical specialists helps provide a variety of state-of-the-art care, including wound management, orthopedic and soft-tissue surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries (arthroscopic, laparoscopic), as well as radiology, CT, and fluoroscopy technologies.

You would be assisting with those procedures, helping with instrument cleaning and pack prep, plus all the normal veterinary medical support staff stuff – patient restraint, IVC placement, phlebotomy, post-surgical patient recovery, etc.

The surgery service operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM; on-call shifts are also available for qualified individuals.
