Product Quality Assurance Technologist – Albuquerque, NM (Full‑Time, Regular)
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Product Quality Assurance Technologist to implement quality assurance programs, procedures, and controls. In this role, the selected candidate will develop and conduct continuing inspections and audits, analyze documents, and establish and execute inspections of materials, products, or systems.
Responsibilities- Work closely with engineering and operational staff to solve issues, document deviations, and prepare product acceptance packages.
- Be familiar with quality requirements and provide guidance on their application.
- Review production and development data across record‑keeping systems.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance Reviewers (QARs) and auditors when questions arise.
- Receive Lean Six Sigma training and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Understand production processes and focus on product acceptance procedures.
- Review acceptance packages and partner with operators, technologists, and engineers to anticipate, resolve, and recommend corrective actions.
- Pursue opportunities for continuous improvement across production areas, implementing industry‑standard Lean Six Sigma practices.
- Monitor and audit work practices to ensure quality assurance programs and corrective actions are successfully implemented.
Work must be performed onsite.
Qualifications – Required- High school diploma plus three (3) years of equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience performing document review.
- Active DOE Q clearance (or equivalent) required to start.
- Experience working on the SCN.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Track record of identifying and implementing continuous improvements in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in a quality inspection or related quality assurance role.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting quality criteria.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written, using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, schedule‑driven, high‑rigor production environment.
- Commitment to a culture of safety and security.
- Excellent teaming skills for diverse collaborative problem‑solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
$63,800 – $123,400
Security ClearanceThe position requires a DOE Q security clearance to start, or an equivalent active clearance with another U.S. government agency. Applicants must maintain this clearance and meet all background, drug, and security requirements.
