National Calibration Inc was established in 1955 and is a growing full-service ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration Laboratory with multiple offices located throughout the Southwestern United States. We are a family-owned business based in Scottsdale, AZ with openings in Albuquerque, NM.
We are looking for several motivated people to fill openings as calibration technicians in a very fast‑paced, quality‑first environment.
Our accredited laboratory provides calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment, including electronics, force, linear, torque, pressure, weight, and nuclear gauges.
Calibration Technicians will be associated with basic calibration, quality, customer service, and operational requirements for their assigned section, coordinating directly with the Corporate Office and Regional Manager. They will learn proper techniques, theory, and quality processes to become productive, quality‑oriented team members.
Job Duties- Experience with equipment for testing and inspecting construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and hot mix asphalt for quality control/assurance in laboratory and job sites.
- Prepare calibration reports on activities and equipment in accordance with ASTM/ASME standards.
- Review data for accuracy and completeness.
- Position requires up to 50% or more travel.
- Previous construction materials testing experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player.
- Capable of working independently.
- Strong communication and detailed writing skills.
- Ability to lift and carry 30 to 50 lbs. and 80 lbs. periodically.
- Basic math and writing skills.
- Willing to learn and understand the Quality System and the ISO 17025 standard as it relates to calibration.
- Willing to focus on developing skills for completing calibrations using developed procedures and practices to ensure and understand the operation and use of the equipment being serviced.
- Willing to review standards and specifications to develop calibration templates, procedures, and set guidelines for approval through QA and in accordance with international standards.
- Willingness to learn and maintain, repair, and calibrate physical/dimensional and basic electronics test‑measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and laboratory standards with experience in all technical areas.
- Clean driving record.
- Pre‑employment drug screening required.
