Role Description

This full-time, on-site Quality Engineer role is based at Tempur Sealy’s Albuquerque, NM facility. The Quality Engineer monitors product quality on the manufacturing floor, conducts inspections and audits, and uses data analysis to identify trends and root causes of defects. This role collaborates with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions, improve manufacturing processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Quality Engineer maintains and updates quality documentation, supports compliance with internal standards and external regulations, and assists in training team members on quality procedures and best practices. The position also participates in cross-functional projects to enhance product reliability, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to apply quality engineering principles, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis tools used for quality metrics, process capability, and performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, production processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards for product quality and safety.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with bedding, consumer products, or similar manufacturing sectors is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards or methodologies (such as ISO systems, Lean, or Six Sigma) is a plus.
