Summary: Coordinates and administers a funded research study or group of associated activities. Assists in project planning and ensures the pre‑established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. Responsible for recruiting and coordinating research participants, serving as the principal administrative liaison for the project.
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center Clinical and Translational Science Center seeks a detail‑oriented, results‑driven Clinical Research Coordinator for the Primary Care-Building Research Integration in Diverse Geographic Environments (PC-BRIDGE) Network Research Hub. The candidate will understand and follow study protocols, work effectively with community members, primary care provider teams, and university hub staff. Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish are required.
The Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Senior Program Manager and serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team conducting human subjects research.
The PC-BRIDGE Network Research Hub is grounded in New Mexico’s CTSA and partners with primary care practices to reach rural and underrepresented populations, extending research opportunities into routine primary care settings. The term appointment is funded through 12/19/2026, with potential continuation subject to additional funding.
Duties and Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate initiation of research study protocols, and establish operating policies and procedures for PC-BRIDGE studies TAICHIKNEE and SUPERA, and future studies.
- Plan, implement, and maintain data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocols; coordinate collection and analysis of research data.
- Establish and coordinate logistical arrangements for research subjects and outreach activities as appropriate.
- Recruit, instruct, and coordinate research subjects and/or volunteers in line with PC-BRIDGE study objectives.
- Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operation of research and data collection activities; act as primary administrative contact for internal and external research staff and collaborators.
- Serve as technical support staff in executing research/clinical protocols; perform protocol aspects as required in accordance with program objectives.
- Provide administrative support to investigators, collaborators, and research staff.
- Conduct and support study recruitment for PC-BRIDGE studies.
- Assist in developing and writing grant proposals and/or business plans for specific research projects.
- Monitor progress of research activities, develop and maintain records, and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, conferences, and other events associated with research activities; coordinate outreach activities as appropriate to research objectives.
- May require in‑state and out‑of‑state travel.
- Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
- Successful candidate must submit to a post‑offer, pre‑employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required depending on the nature of the research conducted.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas must comply with the University’s influenza vaccination requirement.
Bachelor’s degree; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year‐for‐year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of regulatory policy and procedures related to Human Subject Research and multisite trials.
- Knowledge of Huron IRB.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; the position is located in Albuquerque, NM. Relocation to Albuquerque may be required at the applicant’s own expense.
Monthly: $3,841.07 - $5,148.00
