Senior Scientist Position – Single-Cell Genomics, Spatial Biology & Cancer Research University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center
We are seeking an outstanding Senior Scientist to join our research program at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center
. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead innovative research at the intersection of single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, RNA biology, and cancer biology
.
We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with expertise in:
- Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq)
- Cancer biology and tumor microenvironment research
- Experimental and/or computational genomics
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high-impact research projects, developing new scientific directions, and mentoring trainees in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.
Qualifications- PhD or MD/PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent degree in a relevant field
- Strong postdoctoral training with a proven track record of cancer research excellence
- First-author publications in high-quality journals
- Demonstrated expertise in cancer genomics or related disciplines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
Our laboratory is a well-funded and highly collaborative research program focused on uncovering RNA-mediated mechanisms that drive cancer progression and therapeutic response.
