Job PurposeThe Customer Sales Coordinator acts as the face and voice of New Mexico Pinon Coffee to our B2C customers and is responsible for both the first and last impression we give our guests. The Customer Sales Coordinator is the primary point of contact for customers with questions or concerns, from across all channels including the Roastery shop, incoming calls and emails, and social media platforms.
The Customer Sales Coordinator accomplishes this under the direction of the Director of Business Development.
- Conduct all sales and customer service in the Roastery Shop.
- Act as a brand ambassador by actively demonstrating our Brand Promise with every customer.
- Ensure that all customers receive efficient, friendly, superior service with a "customer first" mentality.
- Present products to customers in a way that represents quality, honesty, and enthusiasm.
- Act as primary monitor for company‑wide feedback and work with Director of Business Development to resolve any issues if needed.
- Serve as primary support for the Sales & Marketing Team on projects and tasks.
- Ensure that all inbound calls and messages are routed to the correct person or department. Assist both retail and wholesale customers with orders placed by phone or email. Provide customer‑focused service and protect the brand by quickly resolving concerns and complaints.
- Be the primary Roastery Shop attendant for stocking, FIFO, inventory management, ordering and cleanliness.
- Ensure all cash management, opening & closing, and return procedures are followed.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Job duties are performed primarily indoors in a climate‑controlled retail office environment.
Physical RequirementsThe nature of the position is varied and requires desk work, assisting customers, and restocking items throughout the day. The ability to lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds is required. Good manual dexterity and visual acuity is required to use common office equipment. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Education, Experience, and Job Competencies- Ability to cooperate with others and work harmoniously to get the job done.
- Regular attendance and dependability are an essential function of this position.
- Experience in specialty coffee and/or customer service is a plus.
- Proficient use of technology, including office software (Word, Excel) and Point of Sale systems.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Strong social skills and the ability to stay calm and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to be self‑motivated and work productively without direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in spoken and written English.
