Market Deli Clerks are responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. They perform deli stocker duties including product rotation, maintaining signs with attention to date rotation, and stocking smoked meat counters and freezers.

• Greet and engage guests upon entering the department
• Engage in suggestive selling and sales techniques
• Order products to maintain supply, quality, and variety
• Perform receiving duties: breaking down loads, stacking, pricing, organizing cooler and storage areas, refrigerating products
• Verify orders against invoices, audit product cases, and complete reports
• Stock, rotate, face products, prevent shrinkage and damage, follow dating procedures
• Set up and close butcher block cases according to procedures
• Follow daily work schedules and dress code
• Adhere to attendance and tardiness policies
• Perform meat wrapper duties as assigned
• Assist in training new associates
• Maintain the fresh meat counter
• Replenish market supplies as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 100 lbs), squat, reach, twist, climb, walk
• Work in cold temperatures (30F) frequently
• Manual dexterity and good coordination
• Operate equipment like scales, knives, band saws, slicers, grinders
• Work up to 8-10 hours in 50 degree controlled atmosphere
• Ability to work well with others
