Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
• Ensure highest cleanliness standards through continuous maintenance of the site, office, building interior/exterior and surrounding areas.
• Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.
• Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and site usage.
• Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits.
• Protect company culture by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all Extra Space employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• 1+ year of customer‑facing work experience; sales experience preferred.
• Current valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (except in NYC and Brooklyn).
• High school diploma or GED required; college education a plus.

• Indoor and outdoor responsibilities ranging from sedentary desk work to physical duties.
• Tasks require standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting, and lifting.
• Regularly required to lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
