Job Overview
Auto Zone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. Managers and Managers in Training (MITs) lead by example, support operational excellence, and live the company pledge to deliver WOW! customer service.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop the store team, cultivating a high‑performing, engaged environment.
- Communicate clearly with employees and customers to drive store execution and performance.
- Analyze, reconcile, and manage monthly Profit & Loss statements to optimize store profitability.
- Support store operations, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold structured training processes.
- Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to build a strong, successful team.
- Take charge of customer service activities, ensuring outstanding experiences and proactively resolving concerns.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, store merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize success.
- Complete management skills training, learning key aspects of store operations and Auto Zone culture.
MITs must demonstrate consistent progression throughout the training program to be considered for management openings. Promotion is performance‑based and subject to management availability.
Qualifications- 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
- Full‑time flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail or analyzing company financials (e.g., Profit & Loss statements) is a plus.
