Job Overview

Part‑time Sales Associates are central to the Five Below experience, delivering outstanding customer service and driving strong sales. We seek candidates with excellent people and sales skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for creating a vibrant store atmosphere.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance the shopping experience.
• Resolve customer concerns, turning returns into exchanges when possible.
• Regularly communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives, contributing to a positive work environment.

• Minimum age 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts or travel.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices.
• Good communicator with the ability to engage customers courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Able to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate a cash register.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to a height of 5–10 feet.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate and exchange information with customers face‑to‑face and over the telephone.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and traveling to the stock room.
• Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
