The Driver Trainee is responsible for delivering and properly maintaining all Hensley Beverage products on retail shelves, refrigerated and warm storage. They are also responsible for the proper rotation of all Hensley Beverage products in all areas. Driver Trainees are responsible for properly maintaining displays, all P.O.S. (permanent and theme), to help with new placements of products and displays, and continue to build customer confidence and rapport with quality service on each and every account visit.

The Driver Trainee is under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Work experience requirement:
Previous delivery experience and operation ofthree or four-axle tractor-trailer truck

Education requirement:

Must be at least 21 years old License(s)/certification(s) required:
Class A Permit Driving record requirement:
No more than 2 moving violations within three years.

No DWI convictions.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and move up to 165 pounds occasionally.

Ability to drive and operate trucks with up to five axles and other vehicles safelyand in accordance with the traffic laws.

Requires extensive sitting and ability to tolerate shaking and jarringmovements.

Requires visual acuity of both far and near objects, depth perception.

Requires ability to push, pull, and grasp driving controls, and ability toclimb into the driver’s seat of a truck.

Requires various neck positions, including looking side to side and looking down. Also, may require extended periods of static neck positions.

Ability to rotate stock in retail establishments and the repair of damagedinventory. The ability to assist the driver and salesperson in the sales and delivery of Hensley Beverage products.

Requires bending, stretching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reachinghigh and low shelves.

Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 165pounds, and repetitive lifting carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 20to 50 pounds.

Requires handling, grasping, and turning of cartons, cases, bottles, cansand other containers.

Requires operation of a hand truck or dolly.

Requires ability to work in small, confined and dark areas.

Ability to clean and maintain trucks and equipment which requires bending,kneeling, stooping, crouching, stretching, scrubbing, wiping, polishing, and climbing.

Ability to display promotional and pricing P.O.S. materials, which requireshandling, grasping, and turning signs and other promotional materials. This dutyalso requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull boxes of P.O.S.materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

Ability to count units of inventory, which requires physical mobility, visual acuity, and math skills.

Ability to fill out handwritten logs, ledgers, and check-off sheets which requiresability to read and write, and visual acuity.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with customers and other employees by talking and listening, and ability to get along with others which requires reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Ability to prepare monthly reports, which requires reading skills, mathematical skills, visual acuity, and analytical skills.

Ability to speak one on one or to groups of people which requires speaking skills.

Ability to prioritize, organize, set goals, and meet deadlines in a specified timeframe which requires speaking skills.

Ability to use a computer which requires the ability to feel.

Duties of the Job
1. Check in and out with the liquor or store manager. Inventory, maintain and replace P.O.S. materials for all assigned markets on a daily basis.
2. Pull stock from receiving area and move to cooler and rotate into cooler according to code dates. Display current permanent, promotional, pricing and reminderP.O.S. at all times.
3. Rotate all product in proper sequence according to code date.
4. Replace P.O.S. materials as needed or required by store manager including shelfstrips, cooler stickers etc. Maintain an adequate supply of P.O.S. materials invehicle to support products.
5. Stock and face warm shelf.
6. Stock and face cooler.
7. Rebuild, price card and base wrap primary display.
8. Call in out-of-stocks.
9. Check permanent P.O.S. in assigned accounts to make certain it is clean and operating.
10. Clean and mop up any breakage done by the Hensley Merchandising Department.
11. Remove and stack used, empty pallets and breakage in designated area in emptybay.
12. Assist other operations team members with duties, if needed.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned and directed by Management.

Working Environment Associated with Essential Duties
1. Outdoor work in the elements (i.e. heat, cold, dampness, rain, snow, ice, wind) involving lifting, carrying, and pushing objects from the truck to the store.
2. Work in areas where clients or customers may be smoking, or where gasoline andexhaust fumes are present.
