Seafood Department Manager

As a Seafood Department Manager, you will oversee daily seafood department operations, support sales goals, and ensure high standards for freshness, merchandising, and service. Main responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Seafood Department with a focus on customer service, freshness, and department readiness
- Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service and respond to customer requests and special orders
- Coordinate training, scheduling, and task assignment for seafood clerks to support department coverage
- Execute merchandising programs, displays, and pricing according to company guidelines
- Prepare seafood items including cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking displays
- Maintain clean, organized work areas, including cases, prep areas, and equipment
- Monitor product freshness and remove unsellable or expired items
- Manage ordering, inventory levels, and receiving shipments to maintain in-stock conditions
- Track and log required temperature checks for coolers and freezers
- Maintain department signage and communication updates
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and operational standards

Abilities:
- Ability to review inventory levels and product movement
- Ability to train, coach, and support associate development
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle product and equipment
- Ability to work in refrigerated environments and maintain cleanliness standards
