Position Summary: Urban Wellness is seeking a full-time, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented Retail Budtender to join the team at our Las Cruces, NM location. Bud tenders are responsible for assisting customers in selecting cannabis products, providing detailed product information, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized dispensary environment. The ideal candidate must have a passion for cannabis, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer service excellence.

• Customer service & product sales
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Educate customers on the different types of cannabis products, their effects, and proper usage.
• Check in Customers at the front desk
• Help customers select products that meet their needs and preferences.
• Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely and effective manner.

• Stay informed about the latest cannabis products, industry trends, and state regulations.
• Provide accurate information about product potency, ingredients, and dosage.
• Continuously update knowledge on the various strains, edibles, tinctures, topicals, and other cannabis products available in the dispensary.

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the dispensary's point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ensure all transactions comply with state regulations, including verifying customer identification and eligibility.
• Handle cash and electronic payments responsibly.

• Adhere to all state and local cannabis laws and regulations.
• Ensure the dispensary operates in compliance with New Mexico's medical and recreational cannabis regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dispensary environment.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory audits.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to create a positive work environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Assist with promotional events and marketing activities as needed.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, cash handling, and point-of-sale (POS).
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Previous retail experience in the cannabis industry is preferred but will train skilled candidates.
• Strong knowledge of cannabis products and their effects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as scanning and packaging products.

• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
