We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling point-of-sale transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the efficient operation of the cashier station.
Key Responsibilities:
Point of Sale Operations:
- Process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the cash register and other related equipment.
- Maintain a neat and organized cashier station.
Product Knowledge:
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the products and services offered.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide product information.
Customer Accounts:
- Manage customer accounts, if applicable, and process account-related transactions.
- Resolve customer account issues and discrepancies.
Store Procedures:
- Adhere to established store procedures and policies.
- Assist in the implementation of any changes to store processes.
Cash and Card Transactions:
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy and accountability.
- Process card transactions following security and authorization procedures.
Prompt Service:
- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
- Address customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
