Account Manager – Albuquerque, NM

Airgas invites you to contribute and grow in a diverse, inclusive workplace. As an Account Manager, you will act as a consultative partner, nurturing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities within your territory to advance sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain high‑value partnerships in the business and industrial sectors within your assigned territory.

• Serve as a consultative partner, helping customers integrate Airgas’ full range of solutions to add significant value to their operations.

• Advance territory growth by deepening relationships with existing clients and identifying new partnerships that meet company standards of excellence.

• Communicate in an organized and clear manner, ensuring that ideas, plans, and projects effectively support customers' business goals.

• Develop a strategic roadmap to achieve sales milestones, utilizing effective time management to prioritize existing and potential account opportunities.

• Implement account partnership strategies, including regular business reviews for key customers, to ensure the highest level of support and value.

• Connect with key stakeholders and influencers to understand their needs and support their decision‑making processes.

• Coordinate information management across all partnership lifecycle phases, establishing proactive action plans to ensure healthy margins and growth.

• Proactively learn about new products and the competitive landscape to remain a trusted advisor to your clients.

• Integrate all product lines into accounts with a focus on adding value, fully supporting the Core Sales Philosophy of customer‑centric service.

Qualifications – Required
  • A bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of success in B2B sales or business development roles, ideally within the industrial gas or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of advancing sales and business development goals while surpassing key milestones.
  • Proficiency in common email, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Proactive approach to identifying client pain points and facilitating technical solutions that create shared value.
  • Excellent skills in building alignment and navigating agreements to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to foster understanding and connect with individuals from different backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to support customers’ success.
  • Comfort operating in a drug‑free workplace.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Background contributing to growth in industrial, commercial, or educational markets.
  • Natural ability to nurture long‑term partnerships and build alignment across complex, multi‑level stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with, or strong desire to learn about, industrial, specialty, and medical gases.
  • Experience in pioneering new market approaches and adaptability in a fast‑evolving industrial landscape.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and SAP experience preferred.
